I heard from a mate that his mate had received an interview email earlier today. I'm not sure if everybody was notified today or just people through to the next stage.

I guess I can only hope I haven't been notified because my last name would be lower in alphabetical order.

Hi all
Haven't posted on here for a few years.
Just received the email, I was unsuccessful again.
It's really frustrating, I passed Pat2 a few years back and missed out on a position.
I am finding the personality profiling hard to pass these past few attempts.
Best of luck to those who are still waiting on an answer.

Ah well first time, was a good experience, plus I am only 21 so I got many more years to try get in!

Might try SAPOL, or at the very least do some research into it and go for MFS next time they open applications.

Anyway, good luck to all those that have gotten an interview!

I also got a 'stay fit' letter.

Does anyone know how many they are taking to the interview? Just seems very weird to put people into a pool before the interviews. I thought they normally took around 150 to the interview and cab ranked from there.

Are they giving us false hope?

They are interviewing 70. If they need to interview more then ones in the pool will be called in

I've heard first hand of people getting rejections and now see these 'keep fit' letters but haven't heard first hand of any interviews only friends of friends sort of thing.

Mara no longer works there I was told. Ask for Andrew. He told me the 70 doing an interview were notified last friday

They must be doing it slightly differently this year because of the group of retained Firies that have gone through a seperate process and are going to make up half of the first drill squad so they won't need to interview as many

I have heard of a few people first hand who have made it to the interview stage. How drill squads are they hoping to take through from the 70 they interview?

I thought the retained fire fighters would have gone through the same recruitment process but are just in a better position when it comes to the interview and PAT 2..

2. Mara has left the MFS
3 only 6 retained in the drill squad to take positions at Pt Pirie & Mt Gambier

The retains going for the full time regional stations went through the same process but did the stages the week before everyone else.
