How many from the interviews were left over after the first two drill squads?

About 40

Not happy with the selection process Feret?

Did any fail the PAT 2 or medical or were any advised that they were not progressing past the interview stage?

With a third squad commencing early next year, I am assuming that it will be at least 12 to 18 months before another recruitment is opened? I've been away for a few years and am eager as anything. I suppose it'll just be the case of keep fit and wait...?

It just seems that a lot of faith is being put in the personality profile testing.

Ferret, I concur.

I sat both the aptitude testing and profiling; but unsuccessful progressing to the interview stage. I fully accept this however was disappointed there were so many questions 'agree / disagree / etc'. I feel a more accurate gauge of personality would have been to allow written answers to a series of questions as well as the agree disagree questions.

Does anyone else 'agree' ?

Schmick - what examples did you find were not well placed?

I've done profiling test examples and I don't mind the agree and disagree questions at times, but as humans we are way more intricate than a simple 'strongly agree'...

Can anyone confirm that it was just candidates from the interview pool that were considered for the 3rd drill squad? Or has anyone from the 'keep fit' pool heard anything?

From people already interviewed.

So a February 2016 drill squad is a definite go ahead? Will they need to call on more for PAT 2 testing if number failed or did they take enough through to counter this? I've heard a fourth squad is possibly on the cards in June from this same recruitment process, although I'm not sure how many are left in the pool from the recent round of interviews..

Looks like the 2nd Squad will graduate very shortly. Congratulations and well done to all.

Definitely a 3rd Squad in 2016. Rumour is February but no specified date yet.

Will they need to call on more for PAT 2 testing if number failed or did they take enough through to counter this?
They've put a few excess through the PAT2 to allow for some not passing.

This is what Mr Crossman said.
I am driving a strategy to attract more applications from suitable people who are from ethnically diverse backgrounds and females.  At no stage have I considered lowering standards of entry.  This is a very specific job that we do and there is a physical and behavioural type that make the best candidates so the best people will be selected.

Emails were sent out Friday advising of the 2015 recruitment and selection process had closed (and "all positions have now been filled and the process has been closed") but no indication of when recruiting next.
