I see the March edition of Arthur's Infralog is out and it states that: "One RCR Vehicle, one 14, a Bulk Water Carrier Hook-lift Pod, Urban Pumper and Type 44
are under construction". These are all on top of the ongoing supply of 34's. So who's getting a new Urban Pump then? No doubt the guessing will soon begin!

Alan (Big Al)

The pumper is going to Naracoorte.

My guess for the rescue is Waikerie.

The BWC Pod would be for STrathalbyn.

BigAl, are your SFECs getting an upgrade down that way with the new prescriptions?

Alan (Big Al)

Tbh Alex i have no idea, i havent heard if they have had a look down this way yet or not, knowing our luck probably not. How would a brigade find out if their SFEC's have been changed??

Would be nice to see some form of upgraded Urban RCR appliance down this way, but apparently we are stuck with the 24P for another 8 years yet.

Proposed changes to SFEC's are being presented to Groups in the coming weeks (East Torrens is coming up on 21st March).

There is an opportunity for groups to see the proposed changes, and have a chance to give feedback on them.

There are three types of people in the world.  Those that watch things happen, those who make things happen, and those who wonder what happened.

Thanks Pip will have to get our capt to keep a look out for any changes down this way.  We just want to keep all 6 of our BA sets which shouldnt be too hard with the Urban risks we have in our area.

Have a look at the SFEC documents on the CFS members only area.

Since you have 6x air sets & RCR, going by that you should be due to upgrade to one of two options;
1; 2x rural urban pumpers [24p/34p]
2; 1x rural urban pumper and 1 urban pumper

Also i believe if you are classed as an urban centre, you are eligible for an additional rural or light rural.
