Duty crew rostering
« on: May 02, 2012, 05:57:07 PM »
Hi All

For those brigades/units that use a duty crew or roster system, how do you manage it? I have used Google calendar in the past but am curious to see how others run their system.

Cheers

Dave

Majority i have seen are spreadsheet based, but some are now available on the internet websites (behind member logins).
It allows for members to arrange rostering swaps.

My personal opinion only.

There is a thread here that mt barker use, online with a smart phone app, seems a good crew management tool, very widely used in America.

Are you referring to the Firefighter Response System or a different one?  I am keen to hear on any smartphone apps where members could log in, available, or on route to station etc via the app.

not that we would condone using your phone to message or access an app while we are all driving at the speed limit to the station
