SAMFS Work Experience

Hi all,

I was looking for some information or possible contacts. I am doing my year 11 studies at the moment and looking for work experience for mid June this year. My initial preference was hospitals and the ambulance, but most are full or unable to do this due to the privacy act. My second interest is the SAMFS or CFS. I sent an email this afternoon, however, does anyone know if the MFS or CFS HQ do work experience, ie comms work ect.

Try ringing the SAMFS reception at Adelaide Station and asking.  :-)

MFS no longer do it,for reasons you already mentioned, but try CFS as most of their work is non operational so not as much risk.

MFS still do it i did it back in 2008 and my cousin did it at the start of this year

I ended up doing it 2 weeks ago at South Coast District Hospital in Victor Harbor, following the medical/paramedic industry I had desired. Met some a volly from Goolwa who is a nurse there and she said I can do an observer shift with SAAS which I didnt know. Anyway was a great week, saw and learned a lot.
