If you're not watching 7Mate, your missing out on a doco about one of the us fire truck builders.

Might be on the catchup section of channel 7's website tomorrow.

Though like most of the stuff on these channels it's prob 10yrs old and you've prob already seen it.

It was called Super Factories and showed Pierce's US workshops which are divided into 5 sections.

The construction process of these appliances is awesome.

According to the show there are 33,000 fire departments, and Pierce build 1800 vehicles a year with 1500 staff.

Super Factories: Fire Trucks

US call it ultimate factories

I can't find any legit watch online sites for it, Nat Geo's Tv site only has 10mins of it.
