Does anyone know if there is an online copy of the RCRRD standards available?

I am assuming that it stands for Road Crash Rescue Response Directory( or Document). Happy to be corrected.

Yep, RCRD road crash rescue directory. Doubtful that you'll find an online copy. What information are you looking for?

What is the response for an RCR? (1st alarm type scenario)

Is it 1 x RCR appliance plus 1 other appliance for Fire cover etc?

Or is it 1 x RCR appliance plus 1 other appliance from another brigade for Fire cover?

If it's your primary and you are rescue then it's 1 of each from your station assuming you have 2 trucks, but most CFS groups want 2 brigades to cover for crewing issues. If you are rescue and it's not your primary then you are only supposed to send your rescue, but quite a few empty the station!

Forget about groups, brigades, etc and how many of each go from these.

Per the RCRD all vehicle accidents [whether they are reported as a spill only or as an entrapment] outside of the 'metropolitan area' are to be attended by rescue, fire, saas, sapol. The RCRD specifies which fire and which rescue are to be responded, however it is not setup as a 'first alarm' etc.

CFS SOPs are meant to reflect the RCRD however it is interesting to note that the latest edition of the SOPs [SOP 2.1] lists 'vehicle accident' as a single fire appliance response.

As long as 1 fire and 1 rescue attends it is not specified whether they have to come from seperate brigades, that comes down to local response plans.
