Not 100% on all details. But it is fully crewed by MFS staff. The crew members are trained as Marine Operators. Think the driver has a Master 4 license?? Pretty sure they train on the Gallantry 2 days a week

Correct is fully crewed by SAMFS, and crews are responded to the Gallantry from Largs North station and the Duty Marine Master from Port Adelaide.

so are any of the mfs guys  licensed  to drive the boat or is the port master the only one. Also do they have any smaller boats

Darren

There is a marine officer and a marine operator, they have all the tickets to operate the boat etc, the crew form largs or the port crew it for the firefighting side of things.

For info the boat was used 9 times last year....

The port master is SAMFS. There is no smaller boats.

Training is on Mondays, wednesdays & fridays. Appliances from other stations relief the station during this time. I think salisbury, elizabeth and woodville rotate the reliefs
206 to Adelaide fire,Incident #59,situation found 440, action taken 41,K45, over

Darren

We try and rotate between every 2 appliance station, some people get jack of going to largs every other day.
