hmm....a form letter and a non-descript Scout woggle badge.....

did I go for the adoration of an admiring Vic public....course not, but maybe the money spent on the trinket could have given some poor bugger a door to their caravan annexe to keep winter out.

What would be nice is a Brigade Certificate showing that Brigade personnel supported the campaign, ala Sydney fires. Bugga all cost. Can one of you luking paid types that monitor the forum sort that out, that be nice. Cheers

Hey guys yeah got me badge in the post the other day lol anyone here on the second 2 last strike team

Is it just me? I think you guys should be proud of what you did, I think the VIC gov can spare some $$$ to recognise your contribution on behalf of the people of VIC. A badge and letter may seem unimportant at present but when your old and and crusty I'm sure your grandkids will think it's a big deal.

Cheers all

Personally i'd rather see money going towards victims, than trophys.

c'mon I don't think a little badge and a letter is going to break the bank. You have missed the whole point of sending out the letter.

Alex

Letters of thanks are cool, but im sure the cost of badges and gear being posted out would add up with a stack of them [hundreds or thousands when you add up all the teams from all states].

Besides, who really needs a trophy to remember a fire call?
