Pretty sure you will find that town is the busiest station, whilst they might not engage the pump to often those trucks get hammered. Also, the old 202 is already set up as a pump rescue, so why not send it to Elizabeth as 339, makes sense.

Yes, good point, most RCR's in Elizabeth involve salisburys '9'any way, because of Eliz having 2 pumpers and no pump rescue, regardless if both trucks are in the station and the RCR is in 33's boundary.

when elizabeth 339 comes online...Salisbury and Dalkeith CFS might be able to sleep more at night.

To do that means the "RCRD Green Book" has to be revised..not an overnight process

Darren

Yeah they won't be sleeping much, they will just have 339 going along as well. Means 329 will get some more sleep.

uniden

The green book simply says MFS as first rescue, in MFS metro areas so there is no change necesary.

At times it appears that Stations are lumbered with second hand appliances i.e. 201 to Glynde, 202 to Elizabeth. Both these trucks are relatively new and it is not that they are being dumped at out stations but that sometimes new appllainces need to come on-line and the logical place to do this is Adelaide station. Two new appliances, one scania and one volvo to be run side by side as an evaluation for potential future purchasing. Sometimes the reasons the people up stairs do things are not so obvious. One must have a bit of confidence.

Brooklyn Park, busy, hahahaha

Don't you laugh Darren... by far the busiest stations must be Largs, Port Adelaide or the Hill...

What's happened to 332's truck, as it is only a couple years old?
Is it going to seaford?

Alan (Big Al)

Not unless they send it away to be modified into a pump rescue as seaford will be a '9' truck.

On a side note will 339 have a winch put on the front to bring it into line with the others out there?

Zippy

i thought MFS gave up on winchs?

Darren

Yeah they gave up on the winches, all the 9's will have tirfors.

Hazmat206

I can't understand why it took so long to get the 339 when it was already made up. They still haven't added a winch/tirfor, yet it still took about a month to prepare this appliance.

Maybe it was a good oppurtunity to give it a overhaul and clean up before it went up there?

Whats the rush 206? Elizabeth have never had a rescue before and still coped... The same number of appliances were still on the road. Take a little extra time and get the appliance up to spec properly before sending it out as the 9.

Hazmat206

They coped because they had 329 attending their RCR's. What happens if salisbury's area needed the pump rescue? The closest would of been woodville then adelaide. It has happened and you have to take all types of situations into consideration, and not think 'how often does this happen'.
Like i said alex, it was already made up as a '9', does it take a month to put ELIZABETH on the door and a few bits of equipment?

I do believe Elizabeth have had a rescue in the past before it went to Salisbury.
Treat everyone as if they are an idiot, until they prove you otherwise.

Darren

It wasn't gone that long, and yeah whats a few weeks in the scheme of things, they might have taken the chance to give the truck a good going over front to back, doesn't really matter, they have it now, and the world didn't come to an end in those weeks it took to get it on the run.

Before 329 came alone Elizabeth had 334, one of the F7 Volvo's.

It's called change of quarters, doesn't just apply to pumps.

Ahh k, didnt realise there used to be a 334 back in the day.

Alex,

There was some photos on ozfire of 334 back in the day.
