Nov 2008, far North SA Flooding
« on: November 25, 2008, 05:41:33 PM »
If the roads are not damaged too much, it could be wild flowers in the SA Far North area by December.

The AdelaideNow website is reporting:
*Most roads north of Hawker are affected due to flooding.
*Some reported to be 1.5m of water crossing the road.
*A report that one 4wd was washed away from a crossing, but occupants all OK

See http://www.transport.sa.gov.au/quicklinks/northern_roads/northern.asp
---------------------------------
From http://www.bom.gov.au/hydro/flood/sa/rain_river.shtml

Some of the weekly rainfall is:

Hawker = 26 mm
Quorn = 18 mm
Arcoona Bluff = 40 mm
Arkaroola = 27 mm
Marree = 23 mm
Moomba AP = 18 mm

Adelaide = 5 mm
Brisbane = 96 mm

Foot and a half..

The shots at the fence line would be 2 foot under water, further into the Pistol Club is around 4-5 feet at the deepest parts..
