Interesting Facts of Life
« on: September 03, 2008, 07:44:42 PM »
Tell us your facts of life.

whether it be a useless fact or something funny.

- A 'jiffy' is a unit of time for 1/100th of a second.
- Every time you lick a stamp, you consume 1/10 of a calorie.

Interesting one i just came across.

The reason firehouses have circular stairways is from the days of yore when the engines were pulled by horses. The horses were stabled on the ground floor and figured out how to walk up straight staircases.

The more senior officers present, the greater the screwup is going to be.
To think they employed me as a drooling retard...

The fingerprints of Koala bears are virtually indistinguishable from those of humans, so much so that they could be confused at a crime scene.

Read your captains manual properly Cam, page 6, paragraph 2, Quote ("Koalas are not of the bear family, any mention of the word bear, written or verbal will incur a fine of not one, but two cartons of beer to the brigades next social function") Yes I know it might seem a little unjust, but you have had a considerable increase in pay for the Captains role! :-D
