New CFA turnout gear

Anyone got any good knowledge about the CFA getting new and updated PPE??  Trialing a Nomex and PBI product ive heard.

I thought that it had been in trial for some time. Last reports I read (a year or so ago) seemed to lean towards the Nomex Delta C w/liners option rather than the PBI. Although this may be incorrect as I see the MFB trialling the PBI uniform. I would imagine that MFB/CFA would jointly make a decision.

Wouldnt it be great all states using the same fittings and PPE united in their buying power, aaaahhh yeh, as Martin Luther King once said "who shot me" orrrrr something like that! :-D

I believe CFA has decided the t the FF gets to chose either nomex or PBi.

All UFU members in victoria will be getting PBI, CFA vollys get to chose PBI or Nomex which is the stupidist descision I have ever heard.

They have a choice of (1) pbi gold   or (2) Nomex its up to the member, staff and volunteer to pick what they want to wear and from what I am hearing they are going for nomex......
