You do realise that a no carrier alarm is a one appliance or vehicle response (priority 2) for investigation only?

Instead of housing the Gambier Group Tanker in the new Compton shed why not put 7014 in there as a second appliance

Um, yes. Thats why I asked 'please explain'  :-)

Gungellan34

filtered me drunk!!

By the look of this thread, if you get one fire alarm put on in your area, then you should get another truck!

Bet the MFS would love that in Adelaide with that theory, they would have thousands of appliances.
Just my opinion, but I'd like to hear yours!

safireservice

Yay bring on the alarmed premises! We'd have 20 trucks if that was the case

Its funny MFS changing channel to CFS as Bunnings is across the other side of the road and therefore out of area

MFS changing to A different channel because they go through the roundabout? I'd like to see that. They have been to calls well out of town and refused to change channels (sorry, reading through thread well after its al been written, and thinking of lots ofreplies..)

Also lucky it was near the station so the crew could walk to the job!  Compton 24 apparently took 23mins to arrive on scene due to its current storage location and special captains driving regulations!  A total load of crock!

I wasnt on scene so can not confirm this but i wouldnt be suprised.

What are the driving regulations? Captain only no one else allowed on his truck :-D

might as well be.  Only three people are allowed to drive the truck while its located on private property.....2 of those work away from the area during the day and the captain is a minimum of 10mins from the truck plus travel time back to the station, so a minimum rolling time of 13-15mins.  Absolute bs!  Have taken the issue up with the group but is yet to be resolved.

Due date of the new station i believe is about mid april.

Yeah right, sounds like some of these people need a right good kick up the behind.

It's amazing how some trucks end up in that sort of mess
Lt. Goolwa CFS

sesroadcrashrescue

one SES unit has drivers set to trucks and cars if they dont turn up they dont respond or wait till the driver for that truck gets there so least you have one truck and three drivers but yeah its not good any driver with a MR class should be able o drive how ever needs to be trained for urgent driving

chook

Haven't heard that one - and if its true then that is bs. Once a driver is given permission to drive (remember it is on the head of the UM if something goes wrong!) then they should drive. All of my guys(& girls) can and do drive unit vehicles including the truck.
Sometimes I think some treat the equipment as their own, which isn't a problem until crap like that starts.
cheers
Ken
just another retard!

rescue5271

Time for change and what a load of BULL only 3 members are allowed to get the truck from where it is,they also need to be as skinny as a rake not much room to drive it out of that temp shed....
