Someone knocked a sprinkler head off and we spent 2 hours removing the water from the store.

Good work done by both CFS & MFS crews.  Everyone pitched in and created excellent team work.

Sounds like bunnings will have to hire a fire warden full time who can respond to these alarms and see what is wrong with them and let MFS know  :-)

No need robert as they have staff there that are able to do anything(with in reason) compton call rate will be going up hope that new shed will fit 2 appliances.....

Robert-Robert34

Awww what a bummer as it would have been a perfect job for me  :-P you are right Comptons call rate will go up big time

Just because they get 1 new premises in their area doesnt actually mean their call rate will go up "big time" (Unless the installation is very poorly maintained). We got a new nursing home in our area about 3 years ago and we thought the same, but i reckon we've been there no more than 6 times in 3 years.
Treat everyone as if they are an idiot, until they prove you otherwise.

uniden

yes but staff are not meant to interfere with their alarm systems.

Bunnings isn't actually on fire  :-D lots of no carriers and bugs to work out of the system at the start will mean a peak for Compton I think. After that we probably wont get called there for years (Fingers crossed none of these alarms will actually be anything serious). Its funny MFS changing channel to CFS as Bunnings is across the other side of the road and therefore out of area

You mean they actually do that down there? Anyway out of MFS area? That could be quickly remedied by the flick of the keyboard in town.

For some brigades that is their call rate going up big time. :P

rescue5271

At a guess I would say for the next 6 to 12 months the call rate for this site will be high till staff and contractors work out some issues....

The sprinkler head was actually located in a timber storage racking....practical spot for fire suppression but not practical when it comes to restocking the racking.
