Just a few pics of a storm that hit OD last night, first round was the 80Kmh+ winds and 30-40mm of rain then later that night a awesome thunderstorm.

Looks like many people have blocked gutters & drains....multiple taskings for metro SES crews.... SES SCC paged for full activation.

By the looks of the radar, Adelaide is getting what the mid north had last night.. - Rarad also shows another front going across the mid north at the moment..

Yeah Pics Storm1 2 4 7 are minutes before it hit, the dust came with the storm front, thankgod we had heaps of rain come with it to settle the dust down straight away. Add them when you get them be good to see.

Meant to be another front coming in the next couple hours..

Yep third day in a row of thunderstorms, dont think it will be a full on as Wednesday night.

In the same boat as you we dont get it very often at all. Its a nice change though, but the only bad thing has been the humidity over the last couple of days, Thursday morning round 2-3am we had a RH of 98% not nice at all.

With all this heat around when the cool changes eventually happen could make it very interesting, and there wont be much rain with it....and we all know how much we hate dry lightning.

No chance of any ligthning today Jeff, the air is too dry for any decent convection to occur. The current dry air mass sitting over S.A. extends to about 8000m so the trough coming in from the west will be a weak wind change at most. Many areas won't even get that though.
