The old Jervois 24 sold at the government auctions for $20k.

Recently the new Jervois 34 went for its first service at CMI Hino and guess what was on their forecourt??

The old 24, body removed, coat of paint, tyres changed for old worn out ones, other bits and pieces removed, light bar taken off and the silicon used to fill the holes not even smoothed out.  How much..... $42k..... yep that's right, forty two thousand dollars......

I believe it has now been dropped into the high 30's.......

How did the old trucks being positioned on KI help with the big incidents there at the end of last year?

Just reading through this thread and thought that since they were put there for a big incident, and a big incident happened, would be interesting to reflect on this particular use of resources...

well they where meant to be left alone and be crewed as a strike team by the first arriving mainland crews. But when we arrived they had been taken buy local crews which makes sense when there at 13 going fires across the island. this meant that the first arriving crews got split up across the various fires.
