SES State Rescue Challenge

The SES State Rescue Challenge 2007 will be held at SAMFS Angle Park Training Centre next weekend on Saturday and Sunday 25/26 August. There are 9 teams competing in the event from Prospect, Enfield, Noarlunga, Tea Tree Gully, Campbelltown and Eastern Suburbs SES Units. The judges and assessors are from various places within South Australia. The teams will be competing against each other performing General Rescue challenges. The winner of this event will go into the National event which will be held later this year in Western Australia.

We take this opportunity to offer our sincere thanks to the Salvation Army who are again catering this event for all of our SES volunteers.

Edited to reflect the correct location after I rang the SES PR lady and highlighted her mistake. :-D

Big difference between Angle Park & Angle Vale....  :-0
There are three types of people in the world.  Those that watch things happen, those who make things happen, and those who wonder what happened.

From the SA_SES Yahoo Group. Message posted on 16/08/2007.

"....this should answer your questions re the Rescue Challenge, below are
extracts from the "Challenge 2007 Order.doc" which were emailed out today.
Rescue Crew briefings are at 0830 Saturday so assume the gates will be open
before 0800 for registration etc.

Spectators

73 The Challenge is not open to the general public.

74 State Emergency Service personnel, along with their families and friends
are cordially invited to attend the Challenge and help make it a success.

75 Each spectator will be provided with a safety briefing notice on
registration at the competition headquarters. The safety notice is to be
complied with at all times.

76 The spectator safety briefing notice (Appendix ‘I’) is available upon
arrival.

80 Spectators must make their own catering arrangements.

84 All spectators must make their own transport arrangements.

07 The 2007 participating teams are:
· Prospect 1
· Prospect 2
· Eastern
· Campbelltown
· Tea Tree Gully 1
· Tea Tree Gully 2
· Enfield
· Noarlunga 1
· Noarlunga 2...."
Andrew Macmichael
lives at Pt Noarlunga South.

My personal opinion only.
