How sharp is the wedge?

Just a quick question, do you guys really hate each other?
Aren't you all out doing the same job for the same reasons?
As volunteers and paid full time staff your job is the same, protect life, environment and property....
Cant you all just shake hands and realise that all of you are required and respected for what you do?
If you are a victim, you just want someone to help you in your time of need. You aren't going to fight off a potential rescuer because of the colour of the truck they arrive in or the colour of the uniform they wear.
Grow up and act like the emergency services you are supposed to represent, People who help people!
I just want to help

I do not hate the CFS or its members.
But I have no respect for them either.

You are a disgrace to the service and you call yourself professional :x

NotRedAdair- i dont think you would of found any MFS bashing on this forum, all you would find is people, some professionals and some not that are passionate about fire fighting, as mentioned many times, people don't care what colour the truck is coming down their street as long as it is there to help them, vollies do it for the love and often risk their own lives to protect others, and often risk their own life to assist MFS in doing their job, so why mot promote the fire service in the light it should be and forget about trying to create the divide, it may not be to long before MFS and CFS all are one service anyway.

Red Truck Wonderland

CFS People are OK. Tust too many are protecting their own interests rather than those of the community. (Red Truck White Truck Who Cares.) But most of the good ones come from the country.

Disappointment awaits you behind every smiling face.. :-D

You need to get a life outside of the CFS. Go outside, look around. I'm sure trailer parks smell lovely in the morning.

Red Truck Wonderland-agreed, red truck, white truck who cares, MFS people are Ok also, most of the good ones are the ones who recognise the importance of both services and know how to work well together with CFS as often required urban and rural settings,  :-P

you have no respect for people that risk there lives almost daily for little or no benefit to themselves?

hahaha, nice question.

Its pretty simple: There are some idiots in the paid service, there are some (perhaps substantially more) in the volunteer service.

Both services have their bad eggs.
To think they employed me as a drooling retard...

It came from DEH.  It went back to DEH.
& not a minute too soon.   A heap of junk.

How thick is the wedge ?
Depends on how thick the person is.
Self-righteous bigots come in many colours.
Thaey are just as contemptible whether they are paid or volunteers.

Unfortunately they generally don't comprehend the contempt the
majority of us have for them...
