Having not seen a new CFS urban pumper in the flesh I was wondering where/how the standpipe and turncock key are stored?? You would think CFS would copy the idea that the MFS use, utilising a trolley type arrangement for all the necesary equipment. AS long as you can find a suitable place for it..

mack

we have a trolley.....

but not on a type 2.
mounted on the rear of the appliance.

i think the gear is mounted in one of the trays on the type 2 but cannot confirm.

We have one standpipe/key stored in the pull out tray on the rear (near side) of the appliance and a spare one in the offside rear storage locker.

The idea is to stop items falling off the appliances, standpipes, turncock keys etc, and MFS have lost a few trolleys in their time, but luckily recovered after some embarrassment :-P

Calspec, you have a second standpipe and turncock key in that locker on the Right? (OS4 I believe) ? Must have a bit of room in the locker..

EX-Seaford24p, and Seaford Pumper. both have/had the trolley setup on the rear.

Yes Rescue we are rich for space.  These Pumpers certainly can swallow quite a lot.  There's even enough room for some RCR equipment
But I don't think that will happen anytime soon.

RescueHazmat

Yeah definately, if you have the space use it !

You guys/gurls aren't rescue?

SA Firey

Rescue.....no but we could be

MFS will be in Aberfoyle Park before your lot becomes rescue.
Treat everyone as if they are an idiot, until they prove you otherwise.

I believe every EMA brigade should have rapid intevention gear at least. My view only.
