There were children involved. SAAS sent quite a few cars for transport.

From Adelaide Now.

1520hrs

AT least 11 children have been taken to hospital after a bus carrying 30 children and three other vehicles collided on the South Eastern Freeway this afternoon.

It is understood the bus and three cars crashed on the downtrack of the South-Eastern Freeway near the tollgage about 3pm.

Eleven children have been taken to the Women's and Children's Hospital, three on stretchers, with non-life threatening injuries.

Ambulance crews are treating people at the scene for minor injuries.

More details to come.
