SA Severe Storms 15/05/2007-16/05/2007

:-o Wow what an explosive 2 nights of thunderstorms we had over South Australia thankfully it was a quiet tuesday night in Region 5 with only a couple of calls related to the storm itself

How did all of you guys in the Adelaide & surrounding areas fair  :wink:

a big bunch of not much happened up here robbo.

had a pretty nice downpour moinday night for about an hour, and i could see but not hear thunderstorms monday and tuesday night. that was about it.

The power went off here in Kalangadoo twice for a few seconds last night the thunder was amazing as well  :-)

I could see lightning flashes in the distance but no thunder

Copped a bit in the early hours of tuesday morning, not much rain but a thunder rumble that seems to go on forever.

We had lighting striking the ground all around us. Loudest thing I've ever heard..... :-o :-o

Win news said nothing about any severe storms last night but this was before i got the mail drop on my pager :-o but still i knew it was coming by looking at the clouds coming over Kalangadoo very slowly

Well it shook the living hell out of my house and the dog was hiding under the bed! Not to much rain not fond of helping the SES boys do storm damage and sand bagging they can keep it! Even at those jobs when your the OIC you cant hide from the march of the sand bags!

SES SCC went active during the night as a precaution.

Advertiser newspaper reported two cars swept away near Cleve. Only 10mm in Adelaide.

It would seem that majority of the storm affected Eyre Peninsula before slipping south to the Limestone Coast area.

I could not attend the callout, so do not know any detail.

It looks like the Limestone Coast is in for another hiding tonight  :-o :-o only this time with high winds and flash flooding  :-o

Got flash blinded and nearly crashed my car on the way home from training on Monday night when a bolt struck a couple hundred metres in front of me, and as for my dog well i've never seen a 50kg labrador shake so much in my life :lol:

Better batten down the hatches tonight cause it looks like as JR on WWE Raw says a 'Slobber Knocker' of a storm  :-D
