Yep! They are glad is finally started. For the last few financial years, it was on the cards, but was deferred time and time again due to other essential things needing higher attention.

Attached is a couple of photos of what they were running from.

Definately a priority!!.....Spencer Group base at Crystal Brook was about to have work started on new kitchen/toilets but they came to look at the station and because it is a level 3 IMT station they said dont start the kitchen thsi needs a complete refit..ie radio room and what not. So look out for some major work at Crystal Brook some time in future.

A couple more recent ones...
8th March

The colour of the shed was meant to be the maroon/cream colour scheme to fit in with the town better but the iron was apparently ordered before that was agreed on...

Below are some recent photos...

As can be seen, not much has progressed since early March. (The comms room has only just been started on in the last week.)

Compton are still waiting and waiting, from what was said at our last group meeting the two new stations for our group to be built in 2009/2010 will just be a long shed but no meeting or training room CFS dont have the money.....Sad as the brigade's where looking forward at long last at having a station where they can hold their meetings and start doing training......

Would have been nice to incorporate all that under the main roof, instead of the tacked on after thought.

Has the brigade moved in yet?

Pip
There are three types of people in the world.  Those that watch things happen, those who make things happen, and those who wonder what happened.

Not yet. Word has been given that Telstra should have the phone lines connected on the 14th December (no year has been given :-D), so they should be able to move in after that.
