PS If anyone wants to check the info about their brigade on the Promo website at www.fire-brigade.asn.au  and update anything, no matter how minor, please do!!

I am particularly keen to capture data about brigade trailers & what they carry.  <end shameless promotion>

bridgewater have a trailer, never seen/heard of it used though.
(will see what I can find out for you)

Bridgewater's trailer I'm told was mainly used when they had a team in the competitions.  It just sits in Car 2 bay now, but who knows it is still in good condition and may find a use one day.

yes nothing in it apart from some wooden dividers and some junk piled on top.

Maybe we should transfer these last few posts to a new thread called `CFS trailers`?

I have seen Meadows and Virginia CFS pump trailer. Or are you more interested in utility trailers.

lives at Pt Noarlunga South.

My personal opinion only.

I am looking to record all CFS vehicles (past & present) - including trailers.

It doesn't matter what they carry / what they are used for - I just want to know!!

The reason is two fold.

One is so I can accurately record what resources brigades have available - so I am seeking trailer make, registration number, and what is carried on the trailer.

The other reason is I am working on a history project - looking at any vehicle that CFS / EFS have ever had......so I am looking for the current AND previous trailers (and any other vehicles).

Again, I am looking for make / model of vehicle, year of manufacture of chassis, fuel type, builder of the appliance, callsign (and many of vehicles had more than 1), drive type, fuel type, amount of water carried, type of pump / pump motor, pump capacity, pump fuel, water capacity, date arrived at brigade (month & year if possible - although even a year is helpful!) and if the appliance wasn't a new one, what brigade it came from, and where it went to, once it left the brigade.

I am also seeking photos of any of these vehicles!!

So far, I am up to around 3600 vehicles, but I know I am missing many appliances, particularly trailers, and appliances belonging to brigades that are no longer in existence.

If anyone wants to check the appliances I have listed for a particular brigade, let me know, and I'll send you what I have.

I hope that all this data will be up on the web for everyone to look at...

There are three types of people in the world.  Those that watch things happen, those who make things happen, and those who wonder what happened.

tanunda has a port a loo that they had at there old stn for the crew to use the callsing for it is bog 1
we save lives, we breath smoke, we eat ash, why do we do it? cos it's a way of life for us that we have chosen to take

Pipster

That would have been rego YAO180, but now changed to TQP103 (when the whole of Region 2 swapped to Government Plates... which makes life more interestting trying to capture all the new plates)

Is it still at Tanunda - now that they have moved to a new station, which presumably has it's own loos.......?!
