I Just Thought It Would Be A Nice Idea, Something That Members Can Buy If They Want.  I Thought It Would Be A Nice Collectable, Something To Show With Pride.

As For The Belt Buckles, You Can Get Once From Fire & Rescue, Don't Think Its The Same One Your Talking About, However I Got One & I Never Used It.

Are the belt buckles just printed or engraved with the FARA logo?  or are they a corporate Fire Service logo ?

I Will Scan An Image In Tonight If I Get A Chance.

They Are Not Bad I Believe That Have The CFS Star In The Back Ground With Fire Trucks & Equipment On Top Of The Logo.

Will Post The Image Tonight.

in regards to wallets, id buy one because it sounds prettyc cool, not quite sure how you would abuse the use of it, sounds like a strange idea to me.

the belt buckles.... i have a cfs one that is black, just says CFS and has a truck on it...  there not too bad.

Re the use of abusing such an item.

anything can be abused by the wrong people.

Something like what has been discussed, could easily be used to impersonate Police officers, or such agencies which carry "Star" badges, etc.

Yes, not every one would, but there is always "one" person out there who always seems to manage to do the wrong thing.

That One Person, Would That Be You???

As For The Mis-Use Of Wallets That Carry Stars, I Don't Know If You Have Noticed, But SAPOL Must Show There Badge & Police ID Card.  Without The Use Of The Police ID Card, A Wallet With A Badge Is Not An Acceptable Form Of ID.

Tell that to the 17.9 million Australians who don;t know that.  (Oh, and by the way, the official SAPOL badge is enough proof of Identification, thus why U/C and detectives sometimes where them on there belts, over pockets, etc etc. If asked for further ID, they can flip it over and produce the Picture and the rest of there ID card.)

Im just giving my opinion on this topic.   I dont think CFS will ever endorse it, nor do i think they will give it support.  They offer an ID card at the moment, which I believe is good enough.

If you want to go buy wallets, with fancy star badges that you can flip out and show to people, go your hardest.

Unfortunetly They Can Not Use The CFS Star Or Corp Logo.

So It Would Only Be The One That Is Displayed.

It Was Nice To Know That I Wasn't The Only One That Wanted A Nice Wallet To Show My Support.

K99,

Thats Not The Purpose Of Them, However That Would Be An Added Bonus.

Could You Ask Your Group Equipment Officer When He Ordered Them From???

Also Is There A Chance You Could Post A Photo Of One?

A couple of months back we received the "wallet size" officer id at the request of one of out Lt's. It still has the Richmond Rd, Keswick address for state HQ on it. Hmmmmmmmm
Extinguish this.......
