It is very bad timing by the ABC...putting a show about bushfires on a Monday night when half of the CFS is at training!!

Gotta get a TV at the station......

LOL.Pip.you should be like Us.......train Tuesday nights....

Pipster

Nah...Tuesday is for other community meetings.....

Besides, missing out because we are at training gives more ammunition to justify getting a TV at the station !!!!         :-D   Now, where did we put the bequest money.......

Our polling booth is lucky to see 50 people in a day...and most of them being locals, don't bother bringing money with them when they come to vote.....

I reckon we did a collection there several years ago, and ended up with about 10 bucks in change.....

Maybe, but on the other hand, many of them join the CFS and support us that way!

7 new adult members in the last 7 weeks, plus one 15 yo old cadet...and a few more people to come.....I'd rather the people than the money!!    :-D

Interesting episode tonight on the Grampians fire, with a cameo by the CFS in the first few minutes.

Retrospect is an interesting thing . . . you wonder if those of us only a few hours away could have done more.

Did anyone get the plug at the end for the Radio National (I think??) program tomorrow interviewing an arsonist, and by the sound of it, fire fighter?

Little john, cfs crews where there but in other area's there where also CFS crews at the EDENHOPE fire for a number of days while the halls gap fire was going I should know I was there and took loads of photos.....

So what did people think of the show?? do you think that these types of shows could help the fire service and the public understand what we really do.......It was a great show and one that will be talked about for sometime it was in many was true story of the fire's in Victoria and the people that where interviewed were from all walks of life in the fire service... Nice to see that the erica CFA captain is still the guy I meet many years ago....
