Competition memories
« on: March 16, 2007, 06:14:15 PM »
Anyone else have some funny/interesting memories from CFS competitions over the years?
I remember the CFS providing a fleet of small aircraft for staff and volunteers to fly to Port Lincoln (North Shelds)for comps. Wonder what that cost?
Also a certain region 1 brigade that was asked to re-run their dry hose drill event after a complaint by another team that this region 1 brigade had supplied their own hoses!! (go the graphite)

I think the days of the comps are slowly over athol, there is a move to change the whole set up get away from what we do and bring the comps up to a modern day theme. But funny memories from my CFA comp days...Well I used to be know  as FRYER TUCK I was asked to give a team a blessing.Half way down the running track at springvale the the reel man lost control and it ran into the fence and one member was hurt..Was not funny at the time but after a few beers it sure was. Mind you after that run I did no more blessing.....
