Downgraded to Orange
« on: April 10, 2005, 11:02:58 AM »
On the pager on Saturday the message from region 1 was that the fire ban day had been downgraded to Orange (something like that)

What is Orange (yes it is a colour)
Is this something new the CFS has made up again?
In my opinion it is a fire ban or not

Red stand by
Orange half stands by! wtf
Green goes home

Have I got this all wrong, did I miss the downgrade or code orange document.

Good times

I have seen this on the decoder before, I think region 1 sent it to the wrong address, its an internal thing by the looks of it, means nothing to us vollys.

As the guidelines state it is a code for level of preparedness.  Each Region assesses their area and submits their level.  This info is used by Regional staff and the State co-ordination centre and dictates the amount or what people are needed for standby at Region and/or SOC.. probably did go to the wrong pager address.

Like the other day when the whole state got a page to respond to a MVA, Kangarilla or something like that
The old logo is much better

If it was an error, they just made it again with the ‘Code Red’ message…
Maybe its a new idea someone has had, to let the vollies know that region one cares about us?... :?
