Welcome - Forum Guidelines
« on: December 18, 2004, 08:25:02 PM »
Hi all :D

These Forums have been created by SA Firefighters for SA firefighters.
We hope the forums become a great place to share info and discuss firefighting.

Some serious stuff  :|

By registering as a user on this site you agree to the following in addition to the user agreement.

Please keep in mind that kids may be participating in these forums, we have a no tolerance policy on swearing, obscenity and other unsociable behavior.
Any user who disregards this rule will be banned.

SAFIREFIGHTER.COM is moderated by SA firefighters, moderators will not unfairly censor or restrict comment. If they become aware of inappropriate content they may delete or edit posts/threads if required. We encourage free speech and sharing of ideas.

A moderator has every right to interpret these guidelines and implement moderation decisions based on their judgement. Please do not question a moderating decision. You may not have fully considered all the implications of your post. Please post in these forums as a contributor to the SA Fire Fighter online community with a professional attitude. This is a place to share views (even strong views) but it is not a place to vent your anger or post volatile or un welcome content.

Firefighting without proper training and experience can be dangerous. All information provided on these forums does not constitute training. It may be useful information that should be checked with instructors before being used in any situation.

If linking pics to the forum please ensure they are suitable for public viewing. Never post images of casualties or injured people. Please remove or edit number plates and other indentifying marks with an image editor such a Photoshop before posting the pic.

Please keep threads on TOPIC, moderators will remove posts or remind users to keep threads from digressing too far. If something off topic is raised in a thread that deserves discussing, start a new thread. You run the risk of having your account suspended or deleted if you continue to take threads off topic. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED

Ok that's enough serious stuff  :P

For a bit of fun the Forum has ranks - The more you post the higher your rank. You will begin on safirefighter.com as a Recruit. Working your way up through the ranks by active participation. The Ranks have been based on the SACFS.

Regular respected users may be invited to become moderators.

The forums are fully searchable. If you need info on a topic try searching for it.

Please enjoy these forums and please let us know if you have suggestions.

Hi All

I draw your attention to the user agreement and ask that everyone please read the guidelines and the agreement.

Please only post in threads if you can add value to the discussion. This is not your personal play ground to incite or inflame.

Please use this site as it was intended to create honest fair and fun discussion based around emergency response.
Do not hide behind anonymity to say things you could not say around your organisation freely.

This is not gossip central and must change now or the site will be closed.

Continue to have fun and let's all change our attitude to this site.

Thanks
